Dawn of War 2 Soundtrack Released for Free
Today marks the release of the full soundtrack to Relic’s latest strategy title, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2. The download is FREE for all those who want to listen.
The soundtrack was composed by Doyle W. Donehoo and audio lead Jason Ross, with contributions by artist Noah Stacey and others.
You can grab the 20 track, 188MB soundtrack from major download sites, including Relic’s community site for the game.
Wrath of the Lich King ousted by Dawn of War II

Ever since its November 13th release date, the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, has pretty much reigned supreme in terms of PC software sales.
Well, it looks like the expansion has finally been toppled; recent software sales show that THQ’s Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II is the new leader, pushing WotLK to number 2.

Warhammer 40K Beta Closing Today
While we’re on the topic of betas, developer Relic Entertainment has revealed that the multiplayer beta test for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II will end in a few hours. The full game is due out this Thursday. The beta will shut down at 12:01am GMT on February 18.
“We would like to thank everyone for participating in Relic’s most successful Beta ever,” wrote the studio on the game’s site. “We’ve identified and fixed a tremendous number of bugs and balance tweaks that will make the game considerably better when it ships to stores this week. We literally couldn’t have done it without you.”
They’ve provided a couple of statistics from the beta. This includes a list of most popular heroes and successful races, so if you’re the analyst type, go check them out.
Dawn of War 2 May Get Premium DLC
With the game having gone gold recently, Relic Entertainment has revealed that it will add two multiplayer maps to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 within a week of the game’s February 19 release.
It was additionally disclosed that while the game had gone gold, the team will take feedback from the forthcoming multiplayer beta and implement the changes through a day zero patch.
Relic has also spoken about its desire to pump out paid DLC through Games for Windows Live.
“There may even be some [GFW Live] DLC available during the first few weeks after the game’s released if everything goes to plan,” said the studio. However, it wasn’t mentioned if they would be free or premium DLC.
Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 2 Gone Gold
THQ sent out word that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2, the sequel to Relic Entertainments sci-fi strategy game, has gone gold and will be showing up in stores February 19. The game was previously set for release on February 23.
“Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II stays true to the fast-paced, brutal heart of the Dawn of War series, while introducing branching single-player storylines and unique unit customization,” said Relic General Manager Tarrnie Williams. “The deep, tactical gameplay lets players develop and lead personalized elite units who gain experience and grow stronger with every ferocious battle.”
Those who wish to get a sample of the game earlier will get the chance to do so through a multiplayer beta that starts on January 28.
